I would smoke the lights and paint that chrome trip matte black or wrap them in matte CF. I like! $140 bucks

W204 CF mirrors are here for $800:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...revozport.html
And for the W202 CF mirrors, just buy the one I have linked and wrap them your self.

From what I understand, you can ship him items and he will wrap and send them back. I was planning on trying it myself with my engine covers and if it doesn't work out, ill be sending him my engine covers and these mirrors to wrap and send back in one box. Might also send him my int trims pieces but I might live near by early next year, so we will have to see. If I ended up being good at this some how I would attempt to do it all my self. Lots of people say its ez but I dont know how its could be.

here's one

unpainted, so you can start the painting from scratch to any color and also no chrome piece to worry about
also, the carbon fiber one looks soo sick!

^^^ I am thinking unpainted and sending Don these bad boys so they come back fully covered in this wrap!
Might even keep the gloss black trim, looks sharp!

If you do this be sure to post lost of pics of them finished. I like the idea and the way they look, just not sure how I'd like the super modern styling on the 1995 body, you know?

If I get this done, you can expect lots of pictures and pricing! I think its going to fair best on the black/white/red 36 and 43's (Silver and I would match body paint, unless your sport CF somewhere else on the body) because the smoked lights blend more with the CF and at night when those are flashing, with my 6k headlights, 4300k fogs, and I already have matching amber leds bulbs in my clear corners and new dark tint- So stealth! During the day the CF will really shine though and I think it will really ad something to the dated side lines of the body style. We will have to see if my dreams are as real as they seem! Going to be great accent pieces for my CF wrapped bumper apron pieces, that are also soon to come.

The C63 Black is going to be beastly
http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...ies-spied.html
P.S. if you are a car nut, then go on this site autoguide and go to auto news
best thing ever! gives spy shots and all these goodies wayyy before anyody else covers them
[End Thread Jack]
if i get these mirrors, i will definitely have Don wrap them in carbon fiber as well as some trim accents too, but i want a wet/gloss carbon look not the matte look he has in most of his shot

when do you think that LED light comes on, on the mirror?
i think and hope it is just a puddle light and comes on when the door is open
i hope it is not on at any other time than that really

The led light on the bottom only comes on when the door opens. Great for dropped keys, phones, money etc. Don has what you are looking for (Glossy CF trim) I am just odd and really love the Matte look. This week anyway!

12' W204 C63 AMG coupe "T-Rex", 12' W451 Smart Fortwo Pulse (99' W202 C43 AMG sold)
I honestly don't think they fit with the period body shape. Too riccey for me. I prefer the more conventional conversion using W210 folding and led indicator mirrors (post #21) https://mbworld.org/forums/c36-amg-c...deos-w202.html
