Just remember, Ceramic pad don't work at their peak until they are warm. When its raining or very cold out. I drive a half mile at around 40mph with my left foot barley on the brakes to get some heat to them... Only in extreme weather though, not everyday. Driving with two feet if for 80 years olds.

tell me your likes and dizlikes about Akebono euro ceramic pads.
How long did you have them?
I just ordered them from Tirerack, I hope I made a great buy for $72 dollars?
Are they:
clean pads, like everyone's saying?
quiet pads, NO squeeling?
short stop when braking hard, car stops fast?
rotorfriendly pads, pads and rotors last longer?
any brakepad wear sensors in the package, was seen on the display box for
C32 pads?
overall, the price $72 bux on Tirerack, is it a great deal for these pads vs performance questions above?

is it bad bite on these pads when they are cooooooooooooooooold?
There must be a bite on these pads when they are cold?
I never use the brakes on my car in traffic to make them hot in working temperature.
Driving a C43 will make the brakes stay cool all the time since it's a pritty fast car and the wind will cool them down all the time, Ride like the wind you know what I mean, man?
The bite is it good or great when these pads are cold?
I can't compare Akebonos to OEM pads, Jurids are da bom when it comes to performance braking.

I have been using Ceramic pads for almost three years now. The pads and rotors seem to last foreve, no dust and very good bite at any temp. I have heard a squeal every once in a while but that is only if the rotors got wet and had a little rust on them. I only heard the squeal when backing up with a little rust on the rotors. I am using Posi-quiet Ceramic pads.

Ordering these as we speak. Not getting the same pricing so I am trying to haggle! 05 c230k sport fronts 330mm and C32 Rears 300mm both cross drilled.

Austin -
Let us know how it works out - both pricing and application. I think this is a great solution as an option to reduce the cost for the C43 brake job, and give a little bling by having drilled rotors. I've noticed that all Mercedes with drilled rotors don't have different rotors for right and left side. The right sides always look like they're spinning the "wrong way".
Given that the C230K Sport front rotors are 4mm smaller in diameter that the C43 rotors, I think it might be a good solution to bevel the edges of the new pads, so that they don't extend past the rotors. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Will keep you posted for sure.
These guys also told me that Mercedes is the ONLY company that does the same direction for both sides. Pretty weird stuff.
The OP has them on and says he had NO issues at all with them. Maybe he can chime in now that its been close to two months since he got them.

OK looks good, but how much to they weigh compared to the OEM ones? You know, unprung weight, etc......
