The W203 C230 Sport Pack uses 330mm rotors, right? In my browsing of Audi forums in relation to my newly acquired Avant, it appears that a cheap big brake kit can be had for B6 Audis by using Touareg or Cayenne calipers and the W203 330mm rotors.

I actually have a pair of 4-piston S500 calipers that will bolt up to a W202 that would utilize 330mm calipers - if any one is interested. I got them before I pulled the trigger on the C32/C55 345mm calipers for my C43. PM if interested, need to unload for cheap!

Quote: Not sure about the rears but the front OEM rotors for a C43 are made by SHW
I should clarify: the OEM rotors for the C230 sport are from Balo/Zimmerman.

I confirm the fronts are made by SHW. The rears can be a number of OEM's but mine are currently ATE's

I was able to talk to the lady on the phone today and she gave me a deal for all four rotors. Final price after shipping and tax was $274

I didnt order because according to her, they order "blank" rotors and they drill them upon request. I was afraid id end up with some cheap "made in china" stuff that would warp and overheat easy.

Im ordering two stock 330mm c230 rotors for the front and two rear stock c43 rotors for my car tonight. Total is $240 and this is through my friend's dad's shop. Wish I could get you all the same deal but I cant

They are made by Zimmerman(sp)

What pads do you guys normally run??? I still need pads...

Sounds about right.
Just to shed some more light on this company, the company that sells the rotors and does the machining is Brakenetic. The rotors are made by Centric, the parent company of Powerslot and StopTech. From what the salesman told me, the rotors are made in China as blanks. Brakenetic then drills, slots, and zinc coats the rotors per the customers request and sends them out. My rotors are drilled, slotted and coated, and all 4 are internally vented.

From first impression, they look good. The drill holes and slots look fine, I believe the drill slots are chamfered (sp) so it's not so rough on the pads, and they seem to be built solidly. I've had the rears on for almost 1000 miles and can say nothing bad about them. Put the fronts on today and so far so good. I do drive hard, and plan to track the car a bit, so hopefully we'll know how well they hold up in hard conditions.

PJ: I love the Akebono Euro Ceramics. I've had those on my back axle and Jurid on the front for about 3k miles, and the difference in dust is ridiculous. I'm tempted to say the dust on the back wheels is only extra that's been flung off the fronts

Quote: I think (C32 & C43) uses the same Rear Rotors # "210 423 08 12", isn’t....??,, and do you know what’s the weight of those Centric Rotors,, i believe

the stock (05 C230K) is "9,68 kg" each, & the Rear (C32/C43) is "7,000 kg" each, im i Right.......??

ZAYED,,
Zayed these Centric rotors, drilled, slotted and internally vented weigh in at 9.7kgs front and 6.8 for the rear

I do not see the big deal on slotted/drilled rotors. the slot/drill rotors are taking away surface area = less braking surface. ok, you get bigger rotors. but they are slotted/drill; it is only giving back the original braking surface. a yes they look good but a waste of money.
normal drivers me/you do NOT use the brakes as those on the race track.
I drive my car hard on country roads; my brakes never failed me in 40 years of driving.
it is like adding a bug shield thing it decreases wind drag.
now, more pistons are good. but the come with drilled/slotted rotors,,still use factory breaking total surface

I honestly think the only advantage these have over our stock rotors is the price

Now if we were to track the car, im sure those drilled rotors would stay cooler

Also the all "W211 & W220 4-Matics", 330x32 vented/drilled Rotors is a fantastic choice to go, direct bolt-on.....

I don't think anyone on here really disagrees with you... No matter how you look at it there is such a minimal advantage to them it doesn't matter in these cars. But knowing that, I'd say it's safe to say most on here purchased them for looks. Some trims of your W203 came with them, so they must do something for Mercedes to put them on.
While they may take away surface area, they more than make up for it with added bite and an escape route for water, gasses, and heat.
But still, unless it's a race car where every kg matters, and every little bit of heat dissipation means a better time, it is just for looks, and knowing that your car has a little more of a "performance mindset"
