Your exhaust is godly!!
Hopefully you're a member on here
If so, I've got to know what your set up is!

It was night so it was hard to see.
But I saw, what looked like monoblocks, so it's definitly possible.
Do you know him Austin?
He also had super bright xenons or some other bright headlight.
The exhaust was so beastly.
I saw it was a c43, which is very cool on it's own to see. And I rolled up next to him and gunned it by. Then let him come by me and then I heard it... If I was blindfolded I swear I would have said it was a brand new c63

If his car was also rocking E55 Chrome monos then its a guy that lives down there in the area and his car is for sale right now. I have his contact info if your sure it was him. He is a BMWCCA member and owns a gutted BMW race car he competes with. Seems like a pretty cool guy and im not sure why he never join us.

thepinoc: Isnt this the same setup you have? You retained your 2nd cats and deleted Res and went str8 out to your tips with no exhaust, right?
This is Pj's car right?

It's not tough to get this sound; just straightpipe the exhaust after the secondary cats. There will be drone between 1600-1900 rpm, but that's city speeds, about 35-40mph at 4th/5th gear. No drone during freeway, but if you like music you'll need a subwoofer to hear the lows.
But if you want a raw sounding Mercedes V8, this is probably one of the best ways to do it.
Yeah, no resonator and no muffler. If you take out the secondary cats, it might sound even meaner, but then you gotta worry about smog (in Cali anyway). And yes, that's PJ's car. Haven't heard from him in a while though... Wonder what he's up to.

I HAVE BEEN ASKING HIM THIS SAME QUESTION FOR OVER A MONTH!!! Hes keeping it very hush, hush! Doesn't want us all having his secret mods...

Sorry, i didn't mean to ignore you guys, i was busy with school and the like. And I don't really have any secret mods, they're just your run of the mill things to do for fun. And if anything, i implore you guys to go out and experiment the straightpipe firsthand instead of just watching videos! They don't do justice for the sound the m113 has. It's loud, but not obnoxious. And the noise doesn't carry far, so cops 'shouldnt' hassle you about it.

I'll take a few pics soon and upload them in this thread. Some torque MAY or may NOT be lost with straightpiping, i have no baseline dyno's before the straightpipe exhaust. At the very least it does save weight, the resonator and muffler combined gets pretty heavy!

Oh I understand the sound the M113 can produce, for fun when I had my secondary cats removed I fired her up with nothing but the primarys connected and she sounded like an american muscle car!!! If i didn't know any better I would of thought I had a big block V8 sitting under the hood of my C43. It was such a VICIOUS sound I would love to have this sound but am concerned about the possible power loss... Perhaps an expert (Marcus I am looking in your direction) can chime in here about the possibility of power loss when going to straight pipes.

Austin- it might be him. I'm a bmwcca member as well so I'll ask some members I know and see if they know him.
Also if it's for sale, he might have a buyer haha
Pinoc- it was nighttime and I was only with him for a minute or so.

I had him down to $6500 at one point because the pass side mirror needs replacing. So do the two fog glasses. Int. Was flawless and the amount of ***** he had replaced in the last two years was endless and all done by a shop with records. Let me know if you want to see pictures. Ext. Needs some love but its got the black/blue designo int. Stock HIDs and some other cool toys he's installed.

What exhaust did you use/price and is it direct bolt on? Also, did you keep you 2nd cats and res with this set up?
#24
it was a bolt on set up except when our stock pipes met with the 3" piping. had to modify a little.
i think when i put on the race cats, it'll sound a lot meaner.
