It's been a while since I posted about this topic. I finally got a hold of some E55 wheels. The tires (especially front) are shot, and I will replace them, but test fitted it on the car to see how it looks.
As you all recall, my car is slammed, so I wanted to see how things fit, especially around the front. The tires that came on the wheel were 235 in the front, 255 in the back.
Here is the side profile:
I can turn the wheels without the tires hitting the fenders, but will definitely rub when I drive.
But if I get 225 front tires and maybe roll the fenders a little more than the factory, I might clear?
ps. Car came with the paint all screwed up on the front bumper. Once I have my ride height decision made, I'm going to repaint the front bumper.

My car is about as low as your, with e55 mono's and 225 up front and 255 out back. I have no rubbing really unless there is 4 passengers in the car, and then the rear tires rub the plastic trim from the bumper (easy to dremel out) and SOMETIMES on deep dips on the freeway the front right fender will rub a little on the tire, but nothing major at all

Guys,
this is not that worrisome. You can run these with a low (but sane) ride height and no problems. But you do need the right tires, and they are, as mentioned above, a 225/40 and a 255/35/18. I have used these on many 202 and 208 with rarely a rubbing issue and if you guys will stop buying these crap tires, have them properly mounted and road forced, then you will be Surprised at how good the ride quality is.

Thanks. Agree with the tires. Good tires make a huge difference.
Just to clarify, those tires in the picture are what came with the rims. Not my choice. I'm getting new tires anyway.

actually I think my front is not QUITE as low as yours up front. you could just add in a 5mm thicker pad and your pobably gonna be fine with the 225's up front

Koich,
Champaign,
svt ricco,
what springs and shocks are you guys running? didnt see it while i read the thread, your guys' cars are slammed
I want to lower mine but dont want to go that low, are you running H&R or vogtland springs? eibach says theirs are not quite as low, so i was gonna go with them and get the biggest pads. i would ideally like to be almost an inch higher than where you guys are at now.
thanks.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I figured it would be better than starting a new one. Can anyone tell me if the 18" W210 Monoblocks will fit my W202 at stock ride height with 255/35 fronts and 265/40 rears? I know the tires are weird profiles but I would probably get new ones really soon as they're the Chinese "Sunny" brand but they are in decent condition...
