You really need a good kick check out Benz prices in Phoenix. They can't give 'em away fast enough it seems.

Wondering if it's the nasty unemployment rate?

They adjusted and added the transmission work. $9669- if i walk from C43
$7755- if i choose to salvage title. Soul searching. Logisticaly i don't see it fixed in the short time.

Just take the 9669 and walk away from your C43. If possible, try to get it to an even 10k with the TTL for your car. If you take the 7755 and pocket it, you know that it'll bother you knowing that your car has a salvaged title. Do your own soul searching on the answer for whether or not you can own a salvaged titled car and run it to the ground or go shopping now. Some of you guys love your C43's, so that salvaged title route might be a possiblity. I for one can't do that, so I'm recommending you just bid ur farewell and walk.

C43
Well State Farm had a whole different opinion and I went with the non-total option. I seriously could not find a car I was interested in. The ONE car I was going to go for, sold the day I decided to pull the trigger. SO destiny set in.

JUST FYI on the Duraflex bumper. Im not to impressed. Yes, it saved some money but I have a feeling I'll be replacing it soon enough. Feels cheap and its going to take some work to smooth out the imperfections. I found a new one off a craigslist add (former C36 owner)

The C-RS version of the bumper. Its a little different and has some Europlate slot. That was a disappointment when I saw it, but $230 delivered vs $1100-junkyard C43 bumper. I am gonna use the dinged up wheel for the spare and walk out of this for $1200. Plus the cost of the bumper. (see above used bumper price) This includes new paint on the hood and drivers side fender. Fix a pre existing parking lot dent on that fender too. Support the local small body man!

So ya I pocketed some while improving it more. Lemons...you are now officially lemonade.

Just hope the new look grows on me. Maybe a custom Europlate will do it. How does 3VOM sound as a tag number? I am digging it.

This thread makes me happy.

I had plenty of cash left over from my repairs when an identical situation happened to mine. But alas I had too many bills to pay (new baby on the way) so I had to skip the 5.4l swap ((
