Would changing the back plate and using one from the C55 be a better and cleaner option than cutting it up ??

eclectic assortment of cars
But typically removing the backing plate requires the complete hub removal, even though it's only held on by two or three small bolts. Complete PITA. Better just to cut it and not have to deal with the hub removal. The difference would be like 5 minutes with a pair of tin snips or a dremel type tool, as opposed to (likely) a couple hours at least. I know which one I would prefer!

But aren't the rear brakes on C43s and C32/55s the same anyway? For the fronts, sure, cutting or removal of the backing plate is required.

There are a lot of models with 300x22 rear disc. They are all more or less the same. So there is no advantage.

Thanks guys!!
I think maybeI will just get some rotors, ss brake lines, and hawk pads and call it a day.
Please someone let me know if theres easy brake upgrade.
I've already spent $$$$ (almost twice more than what I paid for the car) on my car since I got it last Nov, and I still need to do some brake upgrade. Then I need to get front and rear camber kits, and then real carbon fiber overlay...... f(cuk.. what should I tell my wife...
