*** OFFICIAL C36, C43 MOD LIST ***

I have an idea....

no way I'm getting on of those fancy gadgets, coz u can get in serious trouble if found with one. Also the modern stuff used is practically undetectable. Don't forget that the high end radars are developed and manufactured in this wonderful country (Multinova for example). They have some experimental stuff which can detect, control and register around 20 cars at the same time
The best detector is to do the route one way at regular speed, return at also same speed with eyes open all around, then do a blast run

It definitely improved my C36 in the higher rpms, it breaths much better now, especially since my cats were plugged up for the most part. It is still very quiet by the way, I still have the stock resonator and the stock muffler on also.
I think I'm going to remove the resonator next, I need a little tone, but I'm worried about it being raspy since I don't have the cats to muffle the noise a bit. I've also considered removing the stock muffler and running straight pipe from the resonator so that it has more of a deeper tone. I would get the AMG tips welded back on though of course!

I don't think this would fly in any of the 50 states... If you could remove the cats then why would they have DEQ???

I want some strong and fade resisting pads
and never mind dust. I just have to save up for some OE rotors or find a way to get them cheaper, then it will be spanner and hammer time with a full bleed and change with some nice Castrol SRF Last edited by DRBC43AMG; Jul 19, 2011 at 10:50 AM. Reason: Added data

Most states that do smog, only plug it in and check for codes when it is OBD2, they do not physically sniff the exhaust, like they do with OBD1 cars.
I passed smog here in Nevada without cats, because I do not have a check engine light.
The best part about it is that the spark plug anti-fouler trick only costs like $6...
Just an easy way to free up a little power guys, but suit yourselves.
Check out these guys: http://www.myhps.com/index.php?src=Lots of people are very happy with their products and the customer service.

For us C36 folk, Turbo Technics made a kit specifically for the M103/M104 engines. Twin Garret T2 turbos; intercooler mounted parallel with the block under the exhaust mani I believe; fed cold air from a tube from the bumper; and all the vacuum lines for the tranny, mounting brackets, and a modified throttle body to keep it up to mercedes running standards. This sold for only about £1,000 in the 90's. Coming soon to your local ebay/craigslist/mb forum

It looks like the dealer that had these was trying to sell off the last of the kits in 2007. Here's a meaty article about it.
And Cassard, I know exactly what you mean

One more mod to add is probably the adjustable camber bolts:

If I did buy one I would have it painted to match my car, I think the CF look on a street driven W202 is not so hot now if we are talking track or DTM then by all means CF to the MAX!

1k sound a bit unreal not? I know there was a company that did offer a twin turbo for the c36, can't find it
. If i'm not mistaking 450hp+-.
