fiveoh3 - can the billy's be installed without lowering? Is the camber kit needed because of the change of geometry on lowered cars? How low did you go?

You would want to use the Bilstein HD's if you weren't lowering your car, the the bilstein sports offer a shorter travel to accomodate the lowering springs. the camber kit is needed when you lower your vehicle as it will usually cause negative camber. I have the Vogtland lowering springs which say they offer a 1.4" drop but I am thinking this is based of off the Euro springs cause it is closer to a 2" drop. I used the largest spring pads to accomodate for the extra drop and have almost the exact ride height I was looking for (could be a tad higher)

I see they are coilovers. Look to be high quality but definitely a little spendy. I wonder how hard it is to tune them for the car.

Ok cool. I found the part #.

Euro AMG Springs

Part numbers are:

Front : 210.321.22.04
Rear : 210.324.34.04

edit - hmm after searching these seem kinda hard to track down.

Actually, they aren't coilovers, not for the 202 application. The older Mercedes use a separate shock and spring. The KW site may show a coilover, but you would be getting their adjustable shock and adjustable spring perches.

If you mean hard to track down as in hard to find, those are standard US dealer parts. They list for about $50 per corner. Or have you hit the dealer and found them to be on back order?

I'm so trained to avoid the stealership that never even bothered to check. If you hit google with those PN's it really comes up dry. I will make some calls tomorrow but $50 - sounds much too cheap?

Actually, some parts are very inexpensive at dealerships. Front Euro springs for a CLK55 list at $100, are available for $75. The rears are unavailable through the MB USA parts network. The parts you listed are available (at least they show as being available). The fronts list at $67 but are available for $50.25 each from MB of Annapolis. The rears list at $70, and are sold for $52.50 each - same dealer.

I think I would of gone with the euro springs had I of known they were available in the U.S., not only are they AMG springs but they are cheaper than the Vogtlands I bought and have the ride height I was looking for, I am a tad lower than I would like to be right now with the largest spring pads.

Good info from Mr. Fitzhugh as usual, thanks Marcus

Bilstein is what AMG uses but they are custom made for AMG. I would imagine you would want to go with the sports to account for the shorter travel that is required

No, you will need to sell your soul to MB to get a set (4) for your C43. I bought all 4 Bilstein sports for the cost of 1 1/2 of the Bilstein "AMG" shocks

Ouch. As ever, Mercedes Canada gives the screw to Canadians. When I asked the local dealer about the Euro spec springs, I was quote about C$130 each. Bought the Vogtlands after that.
