Woah, woah, woah...

So, it's been long talked about on this forumn: foglights. Differences between the switches on 36's and 43's, ways to turn certain bulbs on on the 36's quad foglight set up, and how NOT to turn on the rear fog when turning on the apron fogs. Thru all the arguments that have arisen out of these discussions, one thing has always been clear for C36 owners: You can't have the headlight fogs AND the apron (bumper) fogs on at the same time, that is the whole point of those $50 relay boxes attached to the headlight harnesses. But I was checking out a YouTube vid of a euro C43 and look what I saw...

My mind has been blown

Anyone have any insight? Is this a Euro thing? Or am I just freaking out over 20 mins of electrical DIY?

Just checked mine, the fog lights work with the lights on both beams. The switch has to be pulled out to the second click. Mine is a euro model shipped to Japan new.

What's the best way to disable the rear fog? Always wondered about this...

Not sure, but have a look at the bulb, it may be a twin filiment. Get one of the same value as the others, then will not be brighter.

Yes i just looked it is a double filiment bulb. Replace with bulb of same watt both sides. Then will not be as bright.

No it's not the highbeam. If you look closely, his low beams are on, his headlight foglights, and his apron fogs. I'm aware the fogs work with the highbeams.

Also best way to get rid of the rear fog is to take out the fuse labeled "rear fog" under the hood! This may be different on other years, but on the 95 this fuse controls the fog portion of the taillight, so the bright second filament doesn't come on, but everything thing else works exactly as it should

The bulb for the rear fog lights is a 2 filament bulb. One is rated a higher wattage then the other. Put a equal wattage bulb in and will slove problem.

Those Are usable, but a fuse is definitely the easiest to take out and put back in at your will. And if you put a single filament in but turn the rear fog "on" won't it burn out the bulb much quicker.
