c36 water temp value normal driving
Hi,
I just change the water pump and by the same type change the thermostat
now while driving, normal water temp is arround 85°C
before changing water pump and thermostat, water temp was 80°C and often go between 75-80 on highway
2 solutions :
- old thermostat was dead
- new thermostat is not working perfectly
can you tell me your water temperature during normal drive please ?

Different temp rated t-stat?
Could have had a 79deg one before and you may have replaced with an 85deg unit.
Edit: Actually, re-reading it, 75 was too low before, old t-stat was probably jammed open.

I think too
old one was written : 87°C so the same
today, traffic jam and the water temp stay arround 90°C
before, the water temp go to 100°C but when the car move, rapidly lower to 85/90
same's better now
