Car turning over but not starting

You may need to remove the tank from the car, remove the plunger and flush. Check inside for rust. Check also for outside rust as you could end up with a nasty leak. You may need to get the tank changed if the condition is too bad.

Sure thing. If the filter is clogged and no fuel getting through, the pump will be working dry and most likely burn out and die (expensive too)

1993 300E
Hi, I have a 1993 300E. My problem is that the car will crank but would not start.
I checked the fuel pump relay behind the battery. The fuel is good.
Listen for the clicking sound of the motor for the fuel pump when you turn the key to the "ON" position. No clicking sound.
My question for you is, " Did you hear any clicking sound of the fuel pump motor when you turn your car key to the "ON" position.
My car has 2 fuel pump under the car. Just can't believe that both fuel pump are not working.
Wondering if my problem is just a simple fuel filter change.
I do notice that when I tried to go uphill, my car do not have much power.
Is that a sign and symptom of the fuel pump going bad?
