Two seconds in a quarter mile is about twenty car lengths !!

C43 AMG 5.5 - 396.4HP
I wonder why you have so less power loss. On my car the power loss is about 35% and when I was searching the net some while ago, I found some Audi RS4 with similar engine power, they had even more power loss.

The inertia dyno which has free spinning rollers would only show about a 15%-18% drivetrain loss.

There are other factors that when dialed in can effect the RWP...car weight, ambient temp and hunidity are a few

Car weight? I don't think so.

CLK500 = about 3600 lbs, 302HP, 339 ft/lbs TQ (stock)

C43/55 = about 3450 lbs, 349HP, 391 ft/lbs TQ (stock)

I know buffy has modded his engine on his CLK but so has ProjectC55 on his C43/55

lighter car with more power in every aspect, I fail to see how this would be a good race even in the 1/4 mile

The RS4 with all wheel drive will show more power loss because of the drivetrain, AWD vs. 2WD.

Also as RBYCC had stated "A load dyno which places resistance on the rollers to better simulate a road surface usually shows about a 30% drivetrain loss on an automatic Merc."

Perhaps you dyno'd on a load dyno

Well I guess there is only like 2 people on here that are in this bracket. I was asking because it would be nice to talk to others that have SC etc. So I take it, that if can get my car up to 475 to 500 rwhp I will have the fastest C43? Swaps don't count.

as far as I know currently you have the most RWHP out of a 43 motor that I know of never mind getting up to 475+

I cannot wait to do this swap... I need it so bad. Ugh. These cars are quick with a few mods and I had a stock CLK500 that couldn't pass me on the highway the other day so, I know I drive an ok car but I really want more power.

Do you want to get another car? Or stay in the 43 and tune it?

what would be a nice race is the guy (forgot his username) with the brabus engine vs the c43/c55... now that would be a nice race.
