When I was a kid....
...probably 9-11 years old.
We were war refugees and we spent a good part of our lives living in refugee camps before we came to united states.
Way back.......probably in 95 or 96, I remember my uncle coming to visit us from germany. He drove this square shaped shiny black mercedes.
I was so impressed by the car, so proud that my uncle drove this car and all my friends probably thought I was cool
Today I own my own shiny black mercedes and the feeling that I get every time I sit in it to drive it just doesn't get old.

nice story, my grand father had a chrysler, new in 72, bought it new, went to ford and they said you had no car to trade in, no can do, so bought the chrysler and didnt like ford the rest of his life, irony, ended up with a subaru after fighting japs in the pacific

in 1995 I went into the Benz Dealership down in San Diego and wanted to sit in the new AMG C36... The Car was black black surrounded by stanchions and the salesman said... "Im Sorry Sir that is the new AMG and no one is allowed to sit in it unless they have a significant deposit." " Maybe you might want to sit in the 600sl....."
That is one of the reasons I bought my car was because someone said I couldnt sit in the car.....

Those were tough times but at the same time they were also some of the best times in my life.
