Replaced cruise control switch now SRS light is on.. need advice
I carefully removed the steering wheel with airbag and replaced a switch on the steering column. I carefully reversed my actions and plugged everything in making sure to go slow and get everything back in properly. The horn works the switch works... everything is fine.. except the srs light keeps coming on. I took the steering wheel back off and double checked all the connections to the airbag and it appears to be plugged in properly. Am I missing something? Does the system detect when the airbag is unplugged and store a code? How can i reset it? Should I try unplugging the battery for 30 minutes?
thanks!
thanks!

STAR reader should be able to pinpoint exactly where the fault is. Did you turn on the car at all when the airbag was unplugged?

Can't blame you
Does yours not work when the key is removed though??
I remember reading when I had to take off my wheel that whatever I did, to not turn the car on while it was unplugged. Hopefully the STAR should be able to clear it. I imagine it's just an annoying stored error right now.

You turned on the car with the air bag unplugged! ![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
This is the root cause for the SRS light, you will need to have it reset using the STAR system to eliminate the SRS light.
Next time you want to listen to some tunes bring in a boom box or something
