C43 HID headlight blown, then replacement blew too.
Hi all!
Long time, no talk. Had one of my HID headlight blow. Got a replacement on ebay (J87 was the seller) looks legit, Sylvania oem box. Noticed it is a 66250 rather than 66050, not sure that matters. Once installed, noticed that during the auto-leveling stage, one went up, one went down and they stayed that way, not reverting to level. As I was running late, I didn't have time to mess with it and drove it as is. Drove about 1/2 hour with lights on. When turning lights back on after my stop, the same one I just replaced was blown again! Could be just a bad bulb but at minimum $50 for an off brand to $137 at the dealer, don't really feel like trying again. Also, tried disconnecting the battery when I got home to see if it reset the leveling. It didn't. So, before I take it to the stealership (ug
