3m products for cutting and polish. Make sure you get the correct pads. White for cutting with compound, black for polish, and blue pad for finishing polish...then wax. Depending on how bad the paint is always good idea to clay first.

I use maguires ultimate wash and wax to start with, then Nxt generation tech wax 2.0 + endurance tire gel (twice a year I use ultimate protectant dash and trim restorer) besides that I also use nxt generation class cleaner love all these products! before I go for a drive on a sunny day I use ultimate quick wax, and for the leather gold class rich leather. My car looks great gets lot of attention since it's extremely rare in the netherlands especially in this condition. the products aint really cheap but they are worth it

okay I will be buying a three combo maguire kit. Do you guys think using dish washing soap to wash the car the clay waxing it? Then use the cleaner wax with the buffer and after that using polish and then finishing with wax. And I heard you leave the polish on the car for 30 min to let it absorb into the paint is this true? I just want to get the exact steps so I can do the job perfect and this is my first time.

Use Dawn dish washing soap first it will cut through all the old wax.Clay the car and re-wash using Dawn again. You will then have a fully prepared surface for waxing.

Okay so you guys are saying I should wash the car and then clay wax it then wash again? Today I bought maguire cut cleaner, Polish & yellow wax. I should start off with the cleaner then the polish then finish with wax? Just want to make sure so I dont mess up the paint. And I had one more question should I 3m tape the seals and rubber stuff?

Great, simple but complete guide I use. Should cover about everything and you can just read down the list and refer to it while you're actually washing

Come on over to www.adamsforums.com
it's the best and only products I use. I have been through all the detailing products. Nothing stood up to Adams. I have a little side business as a detailed and I wouldn't trust anything but Adams. I also use a porter cable 7424xp. Anybody can use this thing. Will not burn the paint at all!
