ive read through ever possible related c43 eisenmann exhaust thread and no indication of where to buy this and if it is even available...sort of l ike a unicorn.

does this require a custom application? any idea on price and where to purchase? do i need to buy it for a diff car and custom fit it?

I recommend you keep the AMG rear box. The R&D engineers at AMG did some good work around it. Go for a secondary cat delete, X pipe and resonator delete. I'm sure that will be adequate for the sound you are looking for, while being discrete when plodding around town and avoid the eyes of the men in uniforms....Also, it will make your cash available for other goodies

i know exactly what youre talking about. i love the stock AMG exhaust and actually would like to keep the car sleeper mode style...however i LOVE the sound of the eisenmann. so nice!!!!

the resonator has been removed already. it is louder but not much. i think it sounds good. once i remove the two rear cats will it be louder? i still have all 4 cats on the car. what do you think?

Trust me, removing the 2 cats if you already have the resonator removed will still make a great improvement sound wise. The car will definitely be louder.

It should sounds like that:

That's my car indeed. This is how the car would sound with the res and secondary cats removed but with the stock AMG muffler. You can check around youtube. This is a usual mod and people will mention it in the description most of the time, if you want to see more examples of the sound.

how much louder is the eisenmann exhaust with cat and res delete? too loud? ricer like? your car sounds hot!!! i love it!

the other thing i like is the fact that you still maintain the stock sleeper look. i think the AMG exhaust looks great

thanks guys for all your suggestions and slowsky for offering up to sell his. this forum is great.

ive heard a g55 wagon that was insanely loud...sounded like an exotic. do eisenmann sound like that?

without cat/res its def louder than amg muffler....more of an exotic sound...our v8 won't allow rice high pitched lawn mower sounds....i think there are youtube videos comparing them...if i were to do it again..i would leave the cats on and put on the eisenmann for my setup...i've had the no cats/rest with amg muffler for about 1 year...then swapped in eisenmann last couple of months....its just world of difference in sound...would not go back if it wasn't for me trading in the car..

I think I paid $325 for everything, including some better quality SS piping (can't exactly remember which) and also got it rust/snow/salt protected with some sort of black paint. I still have both the cats and resonator at my place just in case...

Ivan has the Eisenmann muffler on his C43 and I ave heard it in person. It definitely sounds crazy, more racer and less refined. I do love the sound but wouldn't want it for my daily driver.

Check out youtube videos, Ivan has a video of his on there. I have the res and 2nd cat delete with stock AMG muffler and it sounds like a BEAST. Especially at WOT but nice and quiet when I am just putting around.

I can't wait for my Kleemann headers, my C43 will sound even MORE vicious

I paid $150 to have both cats and resonator removed and replaced with straight pipe.

what size was the rear cat replacement pipe? 2.25? i looked under the car at the shop..looks like 2.75 or so from the resonator to the muffler? sound right? the piping TO the resonator looks 2.25. i think.

so i got it done today and honestly it doesnt sound THAT different. remember guys i had the resonator already out. then i just removed the two rear cats. the i think the main diff comes from no resonator but after removing the rear cats it is only a tad different. what do you think? still sounds GOOD

Have a friend or family member drive it past you while you stand on the side of the road. Sounds a lot different from outside of the car as compared to inside the car. It's an AMG but it is still a Mercedes and they worked hard to keep it refined and quiet inside.

Agreed.

I thought my C43 sounded bad when I got on the gas but I had my wife drive it the other day and she floored it and I was like

Has that trademark AMG gurgle and is LOUD.

The closest thing you can do is get next to a wall or divider and floor it but it still doesn't do it justice. You need to be outside and behind the car to truly understand what it sounds like.

what about from front cats to the rear cats. 2.25?

so i looked under the car and the pipe that replaced the two rear cats looks slightly smaller. not much but it looks SLIGHT.
