I wonder if a place like Fluid Motor Union could fab up something close to that. Just with open velocity stacks. They do it all the time on S54 engines...

You don't need them to...Carlsson used the intake plenum from a 91 M5 that has the S38 motor.
I know ...my 91 M5 has one
Since the ITB trumpets come off one at a time...one just needs to modify the trumpet size and spacing to match the intake ports of the M104...that's an easy peasy job.
From that point the only problem is tuning for it, and with the MASSIVE intake gains the M104 will now get, I imagine its going to need bigger injectors as its already lean/stoich at the rail @ WOT w/ the stockers.
I still think the best mod is to swap in a W210 E55 5.4l like the guy in Berlin did to his C36. He's pretty secretive about how he wired it all in...but that would make the car redonk.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I dunno though, I like sticking bigger V8s in the already V8 cars, and modding the straight 6 in the i6 cars. I think a C37 style M104 or a turbo setup, both with a manual, and a second 202 with a 5.4 v8 and maybe an sc would be the two ultimate compliments. Heck I've already got the two base cars.... But I need to sell that engine. Need the dough.
If anyone needs an extra 3.6l M104 to experiment on with M5 runners or a turbo set up, I'm your guy!!

But that's awesome news about the M5 plenum. Make it seem so simple....
