C55 with 250,000KM+..??

Hello everyone,

Am a VW fan and owner and have a lot of respect for the best...MB...
my bro owns a C180 and recently he swapped the 180 engine with the 230K engine, with some tuning the car keep sliding and wheels spinning, a lot of fun and good power.. since he did this i started to think if the C230K is fun how about the C43/C55?? C63 is far far away from budget...

Thanks to this place i found about the W202 C55 and the C43 McLaren Sport, and after a lot of research here and there i found a true W202 C55 for sale (2 of them not just one lol)

the catch is i have to sell my MK5 .:R32 in order to get it..!! and it has like 250,000-300,000KM so far... its a rare beast but will cost a lot here, need 40-45K$ for customs only and if i make the switch am sure no one will buy it later from me...

need help to make a decision... and that high mileage makes me hesitate...

Thank you <3

Welcome to one of the best places concerning our favourite cars

Despite the fact that an OE C55 is a rare beast, I don't think I would want to spent that kind of cash to own one. The taxes you talk about is sufficient to make me run away. The mileage is pretty high and you would need to know if the vehicle has been maintained as per MB specs all its life.
Just expressing my personal opinion. You are the one who has to decide finally

At that price and considering the mileage, it would not even be a decision for me. Even if the vehicle were meticulously maintained, I cannot justify that $$$$$ amount for a vehicle that is going on 14 years old. Of course, it would be very tempting if it had less than 25K for mileage. Even then, many parts deteriorate over time, no matter what the mileage is. Just my two cents as it is ultimately your decision to make.

Good Luck
