New brake pads making grinding sound
Hey guys,
Just the other day I installed all 4 new brake pads (Mintex) on my C43 and it's making now a grinding sound when they are hot and you brake pretty hard. Rotors are still very good. I'm told this is ok until they settle in? I dont feel anything abnormal in the pedal and braking is excellent.
Normal?

How hot have they reached when running in? Are they showing any trace of glazing on the surface? The grinding is perhaps normal as the pads are eating away the rotor

did you check for stone between pad and rotor?
your car will make grinding noise if a stone came between pad and rotor.
if not
then you bought some noisy pads......
oem, jurid, portersfield or akebonos don't know if there are other better pads for our cars?
right now I'm using Porterfield R4s street pads, they been great so far, light dusting pads

When I installed the pads, I did some harder braking going on around the streets (without coming to a complete stop) in a stop/ go fashion.
What else should I do?
