Fitted a new option to my C43 AMG

I know there's only 1 guy in America done this mod to his w202 he used to be on Club202 forum.

I had a power rear blind installed, fuukkin' awesome option my car was missing.

Here are some pictures of my car what it loks like, I will take better pics within a few days when I had everything back into my car.

This question is for all owners with power rear blinds on their Mercedes cars.
Can you please check your cars standing from outside, check both sides left/right side if the mesh is hanging a bit loose (sagging)?

You can spot mesh is hanging from under the extracted folding out metal armrails.
Please check if both sides of the mesh are hanging a bit loose or only one side is hanging and the other is extracted and folded out tight?

Passengers side is a bit saggy on my car, check last picture passengers side.
I've seen 2 other Benzes w210 and a w220 having similar sagging mesh.
So is this a normal behaviour?

Hi Denis in the land of Trolls and other weirdos

I think my blind is tight on both sides, otherwise I would have seen it and looked at it closer. I can't help you for the moment as "T Rex" is feeding on some high quality meat at the workshop and for a full oil and filters change (engine, transmission, cooling, fuel), together with a general inspection before I go out and like I stole it. I'm missing the grunt and roars after over 9 months of waiting

Yeah, I'm very happy with this option.

I have my old centre console 4 SALE if anyone is interested?
Shoot me a pm if interested?

If anyone wants to wrap the plastic interior parts with CF looks this centre console can be wrapped to match the rest also if someone wants to upgrade with folding mirrors or powerblind can fill the gaps with 2 new switches..

I have the manual one. I wish mine was electric like my E55.

Re: sagging, no it isn't normal. The shade in my E55 isn't like that.

Nice option to have though.

I've seen this sagging on several cars, so this isn't a problem for me anymore.
Maybe the roller got a bit loose on one side inside the mechanism who knows what the culprit is?

Checked mine and it does dip a little bit on both sides. It's not tight like a young fresh virgin but more what you will find in a more used and mature car

we all get older so does the frikkin' rollos!
I guess they can't stay stretched forever.
It's not a prob for me anymore, just wanted to know if I was the only one with a slackening rollo on my car?
Turned out it's not.
Thank god.

Thanks for the input.

Mine has it from factory, but I never understood the real benefit/function of it. My M5 does have it as well (manually) but I never use it.

The US C43 AMG never came from factory with this option? I mean, it was disabled for US market?

where are you located?
do you have a manual or power rear blind?
did you have one retrofitted, in the US this part was never available for c43.

is your sagging too on both sides or only 1 side?

rear blind is to keep the cabin cool.
also your rear headrests fries from sun, leather dries out and will eventually crack.
Also another good thing with sunblinds on reardoors and sunblind on rear window, backseat is discrete, only full frontal vision

In South America.

Mine is power/electric as I said, from factory and it's even listed in the optionals according to the VIN. My e34 M5 it's manual though

Here are some photos I took for you...because I'm not sure what you mean or trying to figure out. Let me know if this help

hey bud

682 fire extinguisher, do you have this infront of your drivers seat?
this option was an extra.
cool

551 seems like you only have the towhook alarm?
on this switch on centre console, ontop you see a towhook, other cars have interior motion sensors, bottom part switch have like alarm sounding logo for broken glass.
Look on you interior B-pillars, do you have some sensors pointing out?
Like in this picture.

You have a Japan version?
Do you have black wooden interior on doors?
This was only for japan version of C43 and was extra on european cars.

Rest of the pictures is from my car

mine is missing these 5 options:

524 paintwork preservation ????????????????
611 exit lights front door
668 packaging for shipping vehicle tiedown hook ?????????????
682 fire extinguisher
987 battery isolation ???????????????

those with question mark, what are they?

european c43's vary in options, some are very poor equipped like US c43's and other european C43's are fully equipped.
mine is not full equipped.

Rest of the pictures is from my car

seems like my car doens't have the towhook button like yours. Now that I seen in your photo this button, I remember seeing this in older MB's but I never figured out how exactly it works??

I don't know why it says Japan version when this car was ordered through a MB dealer and was builded by the first owner with the options and it's sopouse to be a latin region or just spanish version if that matters. This car wa simported brand new and it's the only one oficially imported to my country through our MB dealer. There are few C36's but only this C43 .

Myc ar has the OEM fake CF door trim all arround inside. Here are other photos I just took to comapre with yours:

I got the OEM MB BOSE headunit that I will re install, seems like the car has the OEM BOSE spekaers still and I'm impressed how good the sound system is as I got the car (of corse that radio might be helping, Alpine top of the line I think) but not sure if is still using the BOSE amp or is by passed.

Looks like I don't have the THEFT alarm sensor on the B pillars. Is this the OEM suede type of headliner?

Are these SUN VISORS sopoused to be silver rather than black/grey? Myabe has been changed at some point?

Here is the fire extinguisher

rip dat red can off your seat and ship it pronto to sweden.

your headliner is black, it's suppose to be white/greyish
looks like suede or alcantara headliner in your car?

front sunvisors are grey.

maybe that russian site shuldn't be trusted at 100%?
it gives you false info about options.

do you have the 280km/h speedo?

you have a rare car if it's the only C43 in your country?
mine is approx 103500km now on clock

Do you have a photo of you headliner? The headliner of this car looks like it's OEM , the stiches and all looks to be well done to be "re wrapped" and/or imported suede because that material doens't exist here.

Thanks for confirm about the sun visors color. I'm more comfort knowing this.

My dash/cluster is the same as yours, so yes, 280 KM/h and all is in metric, just lñike europe or most part of europe .

Mine has 122k on the clock.

Could you tell me/describe more about the tow hook button option you have? How doe sit work exactly?

EDIT: I don't have the iluminated door entry like yours. is this OEM from that year? I know my friend's C63 AMG has it, same color but didn't know this was OEM option perhaps for the C43?

doorsills are aftermarket, write them a note at checkout you want AMG logo
http://formymercedes.com/mb_results....or+Sill+Covers

towhook alarm when active will sound the alarm if thief wants to lift your car at a certain angle 45 degrees angle if I remember correct to steal your rims or tow it away with a towtruck, car alarm will set off.

here is a pic I found on internet, you can see a little bit of the headliner
check on this swedish salesite, headliner is greyish
