Is there any difference between?

What is the the difference between OEM spacer and phenolic spacers from Eurocharged?
Any performance improvment at all from E-C?

Here is a picture of a standard spacer.

When this spacer go bad, what's happening to the car?
At what mileage do they go bad?

Phenolic spacers are soo brilliant for heat insulate,, you can easy touch the Manifold after a while of driving,, you can try them (before & after),, as i

know, there're survive long time, but NOT sure when Exactly should replace them,, jason (503 ///AMG) can confirm that either.......

I imagine they will probably last as long as the engine. No reason they disintegrate before. They are of a solid materiel.

Yes, it insulates the engine block from the intake manifold.

If you want to insulate the air filter, you need some kind of gold shielding (expensive but effective) as used in the racing community and space industry (satellites and rockets)... http://www.nimbusmotorsport.com/ProdShop2.asp?id=8316

I have the Evosport spacers installed. The spacers reduce the heat transferred from the block to the intake manifold, I can go for a long hard drive and get home and put my hand on the intake manifold within minutes without it burning my hand. I can only assume this would lead to cooler air intake temps. I also have the bottom of my renntech box heat shielded, but not with the gold that DRB linked

They work on a N/A motor but would imagine they would be more effective on a S/C engine.
