im having some hiccups on my c43/55
shes been running great since the conversion a few months ago, but suddenly started basically intermittanly lurching and stalling for a second, misfiring, then running normal for a while. then i start it and its perfect running smooth, then suddenly starts lurching again worse and worse until now its almost not drivable, Id say fuel/air thing but just a few months ago I replaced EVERYTHING plugs maf all gaskets, hoses tps, etc etc etc. The check engine scan comes back as temp sensor/airflow sensor, misfires on 3 separate cylinders. Im a lil stumped. ecu? mechanic thinks thottle body?? I kinna doubt that one...

im a mb tech. def check and make sure all vac hoses are in place. def check maf and seatment to throttle body. and airbox to maf. but a tb can cause that problem as well. could very well be the cause. but definitely check all those others first.

when you had your engine swapped you said car was transformed into a beast.
maybe you didn't feel full c55 power after you did your swap?
any difference between 1st. time experiance and today after you connected your maf properly?
you will regret selling your car when you spent so much cash into this money pit vault.
your car is like a dog, it will go wherever you go.
a chick has her own mind and one day will decide to go her own way leaving you behind, you will kick yourself in the head selling your car!
don't do it.
you'll be sorry.

thanks kowalski--I know thats sound advice. The car seemed to be very very very fast after the swap. I will drive today and see if its even quicker. I do really love this car so will be sad if I sell but we do need a downpayment for a house and part of it for me is the challenge of the build. although it is pretty ridiculous to spend that tall amount of cash and take suckh a big loss just for the thrill of the build---but i think we all have a bit of that. I need a 12 step meeting. just did the same thing with a sweet porsche 968 vert. got it perfect, sold it, regret it.

if she dumps you in the future, you'll sue her a$$ because you had to sell your C43 because of her.

she will have to put up all the cash you lost on your car when you sold it.

Your ebay ad lists 2006 CLK55 motor but your thread says you bought a 2002 CLK55?

Your car is very nice and it takes a knowledgeable person to truly appreciate all you have done. I so much want to buy it but I think my wife would divorce me if I did. Anyway best of luck on the sale. I would suggest taking some better pictures for your ad.

Nah didn't sell. I had my friend bid up to the reserve so ppl could see what I was looking for minimum. Yes I effed up the engine year thing. It was unintentional, I have a 2006 Audi a3, maybe that's y I Thought that. Yes my ad minna sucked lol!! I suck at pics, etc. in a way I'm happy bc I love this car and spent so much cash on it. In a way I'm sad because wow it seems to have no value. But it's all in the driving it. If people could drive it they'd get it, it's a tight well done car.
What do you guys think of using it for track? The traction control and AT let it down a bit for that purpose, but, strip interior , eight point cage , and track it? I'd probably cry taking the interior out its so cherry and I love it......
