Need Advice On A C43 With 135,000 Miles

Hi guys, my car has some little vibration at idle. I have replaced motor mounts but still shakes. In drive it feels much better hardly no shake. But on park or neutral it shakes as if it needs a tuneup.

I owned the car for a few years and have only changed the spark plugs. Do you guys suggest I buy the ignition coils and spark plug and the wires because of the shake and the high miles?

Thee wires and coils have never been changed. So I'm thinking it should?

Each coil costs $60.00 or all 8 for $345.00 with free shipping. The seller says its OEM brand.

You guys have any place to buy the coils, plugs, wires? Which brand do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance everyone.

I would def replace the spark wires if they were orig! Good place to start.

If you are going swap out one coil then replace all of them, trust me and I guess 8 for $345 is decent compared to $60 each. Another reason why I appreciate my C36.

GL!

tech speaking with the same car, miles, and issue. problem is most likely and am 99.9% sure its the wires. dont replace coils until one or more goes out. not unless you JUST want to spend the money. you said you did plugs?? if its been awhile then do plugs and wires. if you did them around 100k you should be fine leaving them...again unless you just want to replace them to just to. but again the problem is most definitely from old wires. hope that helps.

This is great that two people suggest just the wires. I'm going to do that first and see what happens. How about sending the injectors for a cleaning? Thanks guys!

I had similar vibration. It was one of the wires for me. Fixed the problem.

Prob no need for that, run some Texaco w/ Techron through it and make sure to put it in with a full tank of gas for best results. Two bottles will do the trick.

How did you find the bad wire out of 16 of them?

Texaco is the best in my opinion but would hate for you to waste more money if it will not have an affect on your car. It cost about $7/bottle and two is what I recommend with a full tank of gas. You def need to replace those wires too!

Would it be good/better to use MSD Universal wires? I don't mind cutting the wires to size. The MSD wires are 8.5, anyone know the size of the bosh brand?

I'm also considering the BERU brand for $201.00 Shipped.

Curious if this was ever resolved. I have the same issue. If it were ignition-related, why would it not shake when engaged in drive (stand still), but only in neutral or park?
