2000 C43 AMG
FS 2000 C43 AMG

For sale is a 2000 C43 with 62k miles. Black on black.

The interior is in excellent condition - the leather, switchgear, door sills and original "C43 AMG" floormats are in fantastic shape. All electric, audio, and climate systems function without fail.

The exterior is in near excellent condition with only a couple tiny pebble/road grit chips around the front air dam.

The car has never been abused or tracked. All mods and maintenance were done carefully by either the MB experts at GT Motors LTD in Bronxville, NY, or at MB of White Plains.

I am the 3rd owner and have had it for 2.5 years (8k miles) and used it as a second car 2-3 times a week.

Mods:

AMG Monoblock II 18” Wheels 18x8F, 18x9R with Continental ExtremeContact DWS Tires

KMac Front Camber Kit

MB Arts Rear Camber Arms

Vogtland Springs

#4 Spring Pads all around

Window Tint (done by previous owner)

Fixes done at 55k miles:
Lower Control Arm Bushings replaced

Ball Joints replaced

Engine Mounts replaced

Recent service at 60K miles

All original documentation included (Manual, QuikTips, Service Booklet, Radio Card, Dealer Locations Booklet, etc.) as well as both original SmartKeys and the valet key. Second set of regular "AMG" floormats included.

Priced at $13,250. Located in Westchester county, NY.

Looks amazing! Good luck with the sale. Interesting how they use the two tone steering wheel with the otherwise black interior. I've seen that on a few C43s.

Your C43 looks to be pristine. I wish I have another garage for another classic AMG.
Good luck with your sale.

Man, too bad it doesn't have the must-have headlight wipers! Otherwise I'd ****** it up in a heartbeat! Beautiful car though!!

Why must have? I been wanting to take mine off.
When it rains the wiper on the left always stays stuck.

2 202's - 0 working headlight wipers here. Not worth it unless you are just trying to find the most FLAWLESS 202 you can get.

OMG, so fix the headlight wipers!! Why in the world would you intentionally leave them inoperable?!? As I've said numerous times before, the headlight wipers are what make the W202s what they are. Without them, the car just looks so barren and cheap, like something is missing.

Hell, I remember way back in the day when a buddy of mine had a super clean VW GTI, we used to go and hack the headlight wipers off of MBs to put them on (as dummy) units on his car just because they gave it such an upscale, exclusive, and classy European look.~

On the Euro side of the Atlantic, headlight wipers are mandatory if you have the xenon option....

I would if I had the spare $ and motivation. The wiring to the wiper motors is consistantly some of the worst wiring on these cars. When I got my 43 the wires were just blatantly cut Tried connecting them up a few months ago and nothing. For me I agree, I think it is a nifty feature and I'd love to show them off, but I'm not going to spend hours troubleshooting/redoing the wiring and I'm definitely not going to spend the money on new motors. I don't take them off, and I make sure they are bolted on tight so they don't just flap around, but for now they're just there for the looks

Gentlemen,
Just taking the mystery out of who bought the car. It was me.
I won't get into the price but both partys were happy. The car is now safely at its new home in Ontario Canada.
By the way my first post. Great forum!!!!!!!

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. A 2000 MY with tiptronic is rare and even if it doesn't have light washers, I don't think its absolutely necessary to enjoy the driving!

Keep us posted and give us some comments on how you like the vehicle...

welcome to this great forum.
you've bought a great car.

how is the tiptronic transmission, is it any good?
have you tried the old style transmission before?
pro vs cons between them both?

I wonder if you can do me a favor?
Can you take some pictures of the screw brackets behind the Avantgarde grille?
I want to compare if they are the same on 99 and 00 cars?
I'm not sure if a 00 w202 avantgarde grille fits a 99 w202 hood?

Thanks for your help

I only have a 1998 c280 to compare the transmission with, but the difference is night & day. The c280 can get confused & shift very abruptly. The tiptronic is as smooth as glass. It is proably the best driving car I have ever had. After I got it home i've only driven it about 200 miles so not alot of time behind the wheel.
I'll see this weekend if I can get any pics of the grille.

I would say that 99% chance they are the same. I doubt MB would change the fixings on an end of life model for cosmetic reasons

i hope the brackets and bolt holes are the same on 2000 hood as it is on 1999.
asked stealership about price, cost approx $1068 dollars conversion from swedish currency (6900Skr) dubble
parts still expensive for a 13 years old car

Get an insert on eBay and be done with it. Looks perfectly the same and a darn bit cheaper too...
