Camera suggestions for AutoCross Video

Camera suggestions for AutoCross Video
I have been starting to get into AutoCross with my C36 and am wondering what you all suggest for camera's to capture video of my laps. I know about GoPro, but was wondering if anyone suggests anything else that is as good or better, but cheaper than GoPro's system.

i have the gopro hero 2, they are now on the hero 3 model i think, so you might be able to pick up hero 2 used for a good price. i forgot what the name of the other major competitor was but when i looked into it it wasn't much cheaper.
one thing i can say though is the gopro for autocross is 100% more useful if you get the wifi remote upgrade. unless you mount the camera within arms reach its a PITA to get out of your seat and turn it on and off between runs. with the remote you can tirgger it from your wrist right before and after you finish, which also saves a ton of battery life.
have to check the new hero 3 model, i think they have one with the bluetooth built in instread of having to buy the backpack attachment as i did on the Hero2.
im very happy with the Hero2, plenty of resolution modes, as well as lens angles, and frame rate options. check craigslist for used models, i got mine as a gift for xmas and the wifi for my birthday, so if you have a girlfriend or mom that never knows what to get you...

I heard some very good things about Contour. A lot of professionals are using those rather than Gopro. They look more nimble IMO!
