Chrome Film from my Rim peeled off

Hi, I own a 1999 Mercedes c43 amg and I noticed that part of my rim started to peel off after I took it to the car wash. I had no idea this could happen, but anyway how do I fix it? Is there anything I can do to make sure it doesn't happen any more than it already is? Should I leave it looking like that?

I attached a pic. I appreciate your help thanks.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to fix it. There are several ways to chrome rims and the prices vary. Triple chrome plating is by far the most expensive but, peeling will never occur with this process. Avoid high moisture and condensation during storage as it will cause extensive peeling. My Corvette rims had condensation on them and as I wiped the condensation off, all the chrome came off as well. Polished rims are harder to keep shiny but never sustain any of the problems that chromed rims sustain. Good Luck!
