hey ol' chap.
it's nice to see you here.

does your c55 conversion drive like a beast?
E55 engine works well with your stock ecu, did you do anything to it?

car looks beautiful, rims are hot!
boot spoiler is it drilled into trunk?

hi hope you are well my car runs fine but iam still on stock c43 ecu thinking about a tune.
the boot spoiler is drilled.
the next thing I want to do is upgrade the brakes. I went to the nurburgring a few weeks ago I had bad break fad but it was lots of fun. I might go for the c32/c55 w203 set up but would really like the bigger amg calipers any advise would be great

I'm fine, thanx for asking.
must have been a blast driving at the ring.

c32 brake kit is the cheapest solution.
this is what i have waiting at home for future install.
others do 6/4 kit, i assume it's costly to get these toys?
bigger calipers will get your car heavier.

are there specialists in UK who re-flash the ecu?
can you link their website?

thanks

thank you for this link.
when doing the reflash, do i need to pull out the ecu box?
i don't know any specialist in my country whom works with reflashing ecu's?

these shops who does the reflash ecu's, do they have firmware for c43/e55 ecu's to get correct data updated to our c43 ecu's?

Some of our C43 brakes weight, compare to other newer AMGs,,

*AMG "C43/55":-

2 pots caliper with pads = (7.3kg), Rotor = (10.2kg)

*AMG "CLK55/SLK55":-

6 pots caliper with pads = (6.1kg), Rotor = (11.4kg)

*AMG "63s":-

6 pots caliper with pads = (6.9kg), Rotor = (12.9kg)

*AMG "55sK":-

8 pots caliper with pads = (7.1kg), Rotor = (15.2kg)

ZAYED,,

maybe newer bigger pot calipers and rotors 2-gether will make the car heavier

what's their weight?
are they lighter than C43 combo?

Hi,

The 2 pieces Rotors from "CLK55/SLK55" 340X30, #: "171 421 01 12" is good choice, but they are Expensive,,

C43 T0 C55-1714210112.jpg

you can easily go with an ordinary Rotors from "C30/C32/C55" 345X30, #: "203 421 09 12"......

11.8kg!!! Although slightly smaller I thought the 334 two piece C43/CLK/E AMG fronts were heavy at 10Kg!

Do you guys have the caliper wieghts also?

ZAYED,,

thanks for your help man
if those 4 pot calipers weigh approx 5 kg each, that's good,
they are still heavy when holding them in the hand.

approx 300 grams difference between c43 and c55 brake combo

The C55/32 brakes must be more than 300g lighter than C43? are you meaning 3Kg lighter?

C43 vs stoptech 332mm str's is 6kg per side!.

Remapping of the stock C43 ECU will probably cost you HP. A friend of mine did this on his C55 and the remapping was the direct cause of the A/F going from 14:1 to 12:1.

Stock C43 ECU w/C43 tune - max power was 284.72 rwhp and 309.89 torque
Stock C43 ECU w/E55 tune - max power was 280.22 rwhp and 292.50 torque

Save your $400 plus dollars.

Also, the C32 brake setup does clear the OE 17x7.5" AMG front wheels, but it does not clear the OE 18x8" AMG wheels (from the W210 E55). Something to keep in mind, we ran into that problem and it will require the front wheels to be modified for clearance.

c43 caliper/rotor/pad combo is 17.5kg according to Zayed

c32 caliper/rotor/pad combo is 17.2kg

are these numbers correct Zayed?
if yes, then it's 300 grams weight difference
