Nice car. My DD back in France is also a golf Mk4 (match II) but no stretch like that. They're great cars. Needs more low IMO to go with that stretch and the wheels!

I was a huge VW guy years ago. My "first" car was a '74 Thing!

Its so low, but the rims are 16 inch and the tyres are stretched, it scrapes on most things,

If it had 18s then the arches would be filled.

Really needs air ride but as its a daily it will do for now

Oh you're right, it's the rim size I guess. I didn't realize they were 16s. That's why I guess it looks like there's a lot of space in the wheel arches. Might also be due to the exposure of the pics.

Anyway, this car looks good, especially in that red!

Same here, had loads of mk1 golf and a scirocco mk1 storm, then i got the merc thats when I realised BMW/VW/AUDI are good but the Mercedes is just better.

But still have massive respect for VW gone off BMW think people look like there trying to hard to be cool or something lol

Love the car and wheels but not a fan of stretched tires. Here's my daily dub in serious need of wheels and a drop

I have a hard time appreciating customized cars these days, except vintage stuff.

I see a metric **** load of BMW's of all ages around town. Some of the newer ones even try to pull on my C43 (they never learn). Tons and tons of 3 and 5 series rolling around, dropped, on aftermarket rims with colored headlights. Just not my thing. But when I see a young guy driving his totally stock 330 or 335, I have respect. That BMW is a great car straight off the lot, and deserves respect to be left original.
