Hi all,
Just got this straight pipe from germany (Ebay), great quality, despite the back attachement needs some adjusting (bending) but installation went without any major issue,
Resulst is... well... quite disapointing, sound is only slightly louder but really difficult to notice from the outside,
From the inside, well, slightly more noticeable,
The real gain being actually some kilograms on the stainless steel pipe !

mine sounds awesome, my mechanic said it sounds way better than stock!
i can increase the roar by playing the axxelerator.
sound is noticed inside cabin and outside by others
on idle it burbles a bit more
i didn't have to adjust anything just connect the tube to the front bolts and hang it onto the rubber suspension
did you pay 279 or 1279 euros + shipping?

Doing a resonator delete tomorrow at a local muffler shop. Is it a cut/weld situation, or do I need to also purchase a Y pipe? I was thinking they could just cut after the stock Y pipe and weld in a straight pipe.

When I did mine, the shop just welded together the Y-pipe and a straight pipe to cover up the lack the resonator and secondaries. If I recall correctly the shop could very well cut after the Y-pipe and just weld in a straight pipe to the muffler. You're correct!

something is wrong with your car if it doesn't sound louder.

But you may be right, I just noticed the engine is not very responsive below 3000 rpm, which could be caused by a MAF malfunction....
Just ordered a new part and will let you know how the sound becomes,
Note that without middle and end mufflers, straight open after the cats, the sound is surprisingly reasonnable...
Hope I'm not ending with clogged Cats....
