Score from junkyard (valve cover)

When I was at the junk yard getting that reed for the air cut off I scored up a few trinkets. A complete valve cover that doesn't have stripped coil cover screws like mine for 20 bucks and set of 3 spare wires for 3 bucks. Way cheaper and easier than fixing the one I got.

Going to have it bead blasted and power coated. I was thinking like a dark red or something. Might look good against the black coil cover inlay. What do you think? Anybody done up theirs?

Yeah I was pretty stoked to find a cover with good threads for the coil bolts. Checked a couple now and this was the first that was 100% good.

Although I did leave the junkyard kinda bothered. There was a complete 1979 Datsun 280z. Short some wheels. Minimal rust.. Few dents here and there but all there including running gear. Just tore my heart out to see a classic like in the recycle bin. Had to keep reminding myself I already have too many projects before I did something stupid. kept thinking about the small block chevy sitting in the corner of the garage or the m60b40 sitting next to it. Thinking how either sure would look good under that long hood.
