Advice on buying c36 Amg
Hi Guys, I'm a new member and thinking of buying my first c36 AMG .
Iv heard about the common head gasket and engine wiring loom fault..

Sorry I submitted before I could finish.. lol
What/where do I look, for the rotting wiring loom?? and what is the labour cost of a replacing a head gasket??
Any advice help is much appreciated..

Check for crumbling insulation around the wires connected to the thermostat housing at the top of the water pump. That's a good first place to look. Otherwise you need to check under the engine cover and poke holes in wires going to the ignition coils to peak inside and look for crumbling insulation. Or check the service history and see if it was replaced already.
Head gasket job is huge. Anywhere from 1800 to 3500 depending on the shop. That figure is in us dollars.
If you have at least half a brain and some decent tools, it can be done yourself for about 200 bucks and 1 or 2 careful weekends of labor. That's what I did.
