1999 Mercedes c43 amg

Using a Car Cover

Hi everyone,

I own a 99 mercedes c43 amg and I can't seem to keep it clean. The car looks incredible when it is really clean, but I don't have a garage or overhang to park it under.

I was thinking I could buy a cover for the car to keep it clean, has anyone else done this? Is there a cover that is custom fitting for the c43? Is a nice car cover worth it?

I have used car covers for many years. They work great as long as you 1) only put them on a clean car and 2) have a very well fitted cover that doesn't flap in a breeze. You can use a California Car Duster to clean off light dust/dirt before putting on the cover, but if the car gets dirty it is best to leave the cover off. Also, if it gets truly windy don't use the cover.

I use one that I is universal, I agree that you should only put it on a clean car it can cause scratches like sand paper if there is dirt.

I use the MB cover. It is nice custom fit, very tight even a spot for hood star. But my car stays inside my climate controlled garage. If you're outside, I wouldn't bother, fighting an uphill battle and maybe doing more harm than good. Get a roof over it.
