2000 rpm Rear bang on c43 amg

Hello everyone, so two days ago I had taken my car to the shop and lifted it on a hoist for a nice check up. I asked my mechanic couple of question if it's okay that the diff is sweating and drips a little oil he said it was normal. I also asked him if the tranny mount was worn out and he said it's a little loose but not worn out. He also checked the flex disk and it looked fine. Today I started noticing some sort of bang when going from 15-20mph. Whether I let go of the accelerator or press it I felt some movement and a loud thud noise in the rear.

Flex disc or tranny mount sounds super likely. How did you guys "check" these parts? Did you mess with them at all or just visually inspect them?

We did a visual inspection on the flex disk and there were light cracks on the flex disk. I asked him do you honestly think this is okay? He said yes you should be fine. I bet the inside of the flex disk is toast. I had a feeling it could probably be it. When we checked the tranny mount he used a plie bar and jiggled the transmisson a little. He said oh its okay that's normal for a 16 year old car. I don't know well thanks for letting me know man. I will put the tranny mount and flex disks on my to do list lol. I probably have to change the seals on the diff I can smell oil when I open the trunk.

Open the wallet. If a visual brings up cracks etc on the flex disks, they should be changed. I hope your drive shaft doesn't fall off when driving, that can be very nasty. In all cases, you need to get the car on the hoist and a have a very close at things.

I would add that if your technician says everything is fine, change workshop. A sudden bang is nothing you should ignore, not unless you drove over a policeman...
