Wipers/Indicators....etc ,stopped
After a Not unusual wet weather spell the following stopped working on my 1989 C class automatic, ie the central locking, which seemed to right itself after a day when I replaced the fob batteries but I had no wiper /indicator/horn , and when I went to get fuel couldn`t open fuel access cover. Also the flashing indication for locking/unlocking had stopped.Fuses all checked.
After a reasonable dry spell and the car lying idle for about a week I returned from abroad , opened it as per usual and everything is working perfectly again,so I would like to know where to start looking to solve this problem which I`m sure will arise again. I`ve been using it for about a week now without any problems.
The small piece of hard curled up materiel ready to depart the glass on the back window(for the antenna ?), Is it relevant, can it be repaired.?
Would really appreciate any help in tracing and dealing with this problem.
