New OE Radiator: Transmission Cooler plugs?? Help!

Ordered what's supposed to be a new OE Behr radiator from partsgeek.com

As we know, C43 uses external transmission oil cooler, unlike many other MB's. It has flat areas where there would normally be inlet/outlets for tranny oil.

New one has the inlet/outlets for transmission oil but with cheap plastic plugs screwed in place. In theory, there's no reason this unit would not work on a C43 correct? Just leave the plastic plugs in place and treat it as normal C43 radiator. The coolant would never enter the chamber of the tranny oil, so there's no way it could leak or cause trouble to use this radiator?

When i canceled stock external cooler,,

i used those "2" ports to cool tranny, it's OK, i didn't had any issue with tranny cool or leak till i sold the car...!

I thought of the same thing, but my transmission cooling lines are much longer! I would have to get creative to shorten or re-route those lines so that they reach the radiator correctly.

Would it be safe to just use the radiator and plug those transmission lines?

I used the car about 2 years with NO issue, stock lines won't work, cause the cooling port in C43 Radiator located in front, like W210 E430/E55,,

i put lines with banjo bolt style, its soo narrow place to put the line, i little bit filing the bracket to let the line fit properly...

So I just put the plastic plugs into the trans cooler inlet and outlet on the new radiator and used it as normal. Works fine. So you DO NOT need to get a true C43 radiator for our cars. Plus, if you get a normal 202 radiator and end up breaking your external trans cooler, you can do what cm60k did and just reroute the cooling lines to your radiator's trans cooler.

radiator from Partsgeek, did you get a genuine Behr radiator?
does it differ a lot in design from your old factory supplied BEHR radiator?

maybe aftermarket rad has more plastic details compared to genuine rad has more aluminium details?

Partsgeek yes, but it's what they said was oem behr. It's behr but apparently not the correct one. I think it's standard 202 radiator, but it works the same.

Very good,,

means this Radiator supposed to be for C43/CLK55 only, cause all other 202's/208's Radiator are different in upper hose location..
