5.4 almost ready for install....supercharger?
I have my 5.4 almost prepped for install in my c43t. I've been trying to source some Kleeman headers to no avail.
Anyway, there's an HPS Supercharger kit for sale on ebay.com right now. Does anyone know the owner of this particular kit, or the history of it?
I'm thinking at a conservative 4-5psi it would make for a fun upgrade.

Is it gen 1 or 2? I think the gen 1 works better than the newer one. Search for it first before you buy. There's one by me that runs gen 1 with c43 motor. Surprises stock c63 owners

Thanks for the reply.
Appears to be gen 1. Its not an intercooled setup, but 5psi would likely be safe.

Gen 1 seems to be the more reliable system but it was originally intended for the 430 and there were a lot of posts about problems on the AMG's due to it being undersized for the 55. I think E55Cent was one of the very few who installed a gen1 on a 55 and got it to perform well.

Hmmmm, but that also indicates it would work splendidly on a 4.3 AMG motor. I might have to source one instead of a 55 swap. I prefer to keep my cars numbers matching but also not chop them up too much.
