look at my pictures what I got for my alarm upgrade.
some of the pictures are borrowed from internet, Picture no.1 is mine with complete stuff in the box.

went to the dealership today and spoke with my friendly partsguy.
I asked him if central locking pump is the same for car fitted with ONLY tow alarm compared to cars with tow alarm/interior motion sensors.
guess what?
we share the same partsnumber for CL-pump, motion sensors are just plug n play on every car fitted with tow alarm.

time for an other options upgrade in the near future.
soon my car will be fully equipped with options from factory.

I will take some photos of my car in the near future

This is all great!
My Central Locking Pump is probably bad. BUT the dealership won't give me the part number. Do you have the PN for it?

Thank you

i'm sorry, i never asked what the partsnumber was, partsguy told me mine was the same as the other car CL-pump with full alarm setup.
maybe our brother Zayed can check WIS/EPC for correct partsnumber?
it's for cars fitted with towhook alarm.

how can CL-pump go bad?
what goes bad?
is your worn out?

Actually they said that it was not responsive when they tested it, seriously I spent 20min trying to find out what they were talking about, they did not want to give me the name of the part but they kept on calling it "pump" "alarm unit", "module" so I just thought it was probably this part...
I will try to locate where the f it is and see if it is worn out... but whatever the part is (this mysterious part) it was $840.00!

hey bud.

i went through my instructions blueprint for retrofitting sirens.
i found a partsnumber for correct CL pump.
i got this partsnumber from an english bloke long time ago when we were chatting about retrofitting alarm sirens
my partsnumber for Hella CL-pump is # A210 800 1948
i believe you have this partsnumber.
go to another dealer and check your VIN if it match with above partnumber?

CL-pump is located on the right side where the cd-changer is bolted, you have to remove innerlining, CL-pump is bolted below trunk spring bracket
i hope this helps you out?
good luck

If so,

several #s will work:-

"208 800 12 48" or "210 800 11 48" or "210 800 19 48" or "210 800 27 48", and the last # is "210 800 30 48"..

I have a 2001 CLK 320 and after the key is removed and the doors locked every once in awhile the parking lights will flash a few times then turn off and then do it again later.
but the alarm does NOTsound. I have not tried disabling the tow hook alarm yet.
QUESTIONS:
- is there a fuse that can be removed to permantly disable this feature? or another way to disable it?
- if the tow hook alarm is not the problem any ideas what??
any and all suggestions PLEASE!

UPDATE: I tried shuting the tow hook alarm off as per instructions in the manual and it made no difference.
when the parking lights start flashing hitting the remote door lock button stops them.
I checked ALL fuses and car battery terminals are clean and tight, battery okay

your siren is getting bad.
turnsignals do flash randomly when siren goes whack when alarmsystem is ON!

time to get a new one, they last for 10-15 years then bye bye.

you can pull the fuse to permanently kill alarmsystem, but thats no good.

it will be easier to ****** your car without tow alarm, it has an angle sensor if you lift car to a certain level it will sound the alarm.

if you disable alarmsystem, you won't get flashing lights when you activate tow alarm.
when you lock your car with remote, i dunno if lights still flash?

if your siren was never replaced, it's probably your siren internal battery leaking acid poisoning circuitboard.
siren will give you some erratic behaviour.

Getting the siren for $152.00 (PN 219 820 32 26) from these guys, got parts there before always cheaper than anybody else on eBay. I'll be replacing it my self this weekend.

my mechanic is the best and do all his work with a big heart and a lot of love for his customers cars!
it's hard to find such good mechanics who will fix your car the way you want it with a big heart and lots of love.
find your specialists and stick with them 4-EVER, that's my advice to all of you forum brothers.
your car needs special TLC, unfortunately this is something a dealership won't have time to give you, it's not included in their service plan!
I just had my alarm replaced after old one drained my battery to the point I had replace that too. Turns out it also emits funny sounding beeps after locking/unlocking the door. This was never the case before when only the flashers would indicate the alarm is set. This is going to drive me crazy. The mechanic who installed it claims that's the way the new units come. I want to know if it's truly the case (it's my first visit with this mechanic and hope he's not bs'ing me) and if there's way to get rid of the damn beeps?

all new sirens come with chirping sound letting you know you're locking or unlocking your car.
i like it because it's a security feature.
you'll get used to this sound.

maybe it can be programmed to mute the sound, you have to ask your mechanic if he can do it by Star?

I like the sound, I wish it didn't beep 3 times but it does... I had a few times when it didn't beep. So I'm to assume that there could be a way
