Hazard Lights STAY flashing after locking
My Hazard Lights STAY flashing after locking. What I mean is that when I walk away from the vehicle after I locked it, the flashing doesn't stop. Could this be a warning my alternator is failing? or the battery?
Hope to find a solution, I just left the car unlocked...

do you have factory towhook alarm?
my car did flash randomly when car was locked, it was the siren failing on my car coz alarm siren battery going bad.
i'm getting my siren replaced on service now.
for your car there could be different symptoms with flashing hazards?

PROBLEM SOLVED!
I was not the Siren/alarm battery, it was the main battery.
Saturday I had the battery tested at Autozone, but the technician there was way too limited for the job. Also the tools they use don't give you the specific reading you need in order to asses any problems you may have.
I should of checked the battery my self, but I was too busy and decided to get them to do it.
AAA came over this morning because the car wouldn't start.
1) The battery is from April 2011 and getting too old
2) The battery is not the correct battery for the car with 750 CCA.
Got the correct battery for $148. 825CCA as specified by the tool AAA uses, and let's see how it goes.
Alternator and Starter are great!
Thanks everybody for all the help!

correct power is approx 95 or 100 Ah for our cars
it would be wise to replace your alarm siren, coz it gets old and battery inside leaks acid poisoning curcuitboard.
I'll let you know how my replacement siren works when I get my car back from tuning service.

I got a diagnostic done by the dealership (Mercedes Benz in Glendale for $163.) They said that I need a new Tow Hook Switch and possibly a new Alarm Control Unit (Module) I'm looking for the switch now and will replace myself. also the Alarm Unit should be easy to replace...
Yes the fender lining I've removed before, as long as I can get parts, I will change the siren too... THANKS kowalski!

make sure you get the right one.
how can dealership tell you that cabin dash switch is bad?
this is something you press once in a lifetime, switch doesn't wear out.
I've never heard that control units for alarm break?!
dealership must BS you?!
I recently got upgrading parts for my alarm system, factory option box was ticked for tow hook + interior motion sensors or only smaller alarm system the tow hook alarm.
I got the complete interior motion parts with complete wirelooms for an upgrade.

Did you take it to Dealership?

ask dealership how much it is before you get a used one off ebay?
the other one with partsnumber ending 74 26 will not work i believe.
otherwise get a used switch fom ebay.
i haven't received my interior sensor parts they are in the mail.
I bet my mechanic will hate me when I tell him what to do
he told me after he fitted my power rearblind, this was a ****ty job to do taking a few hours to install everything.

you don't want to buy new relay because i think they are very expensive?

I DID BUY THAT ONE ON EBAY AND PICKED UP YESTERDAY.
your switch, there are bulbs on backside on every switch, maybe your bulb burned out?
otherwise get a used switch fom ebay.

TO INSTALL THE ALARM MODULE SHOULD TAKE 1 MINUTE. IT'S IN THE TRUNK NEAR THE JACK HOUSING.

my MB güru replaced my old alarm siren for the new and improved version, everytime i lock or unlock my car, she now makes a funny beep beep my a$$ sound , i now hear a sound from alarm siren when my car locks or unlocks.
the old siren never gave me the beep beep my a$$ signal
my mechanic is the best and do all his work with a big heart and a lot of love for his customers cars!
it's hard to find such good mechanics who will fix your car the way you want it with a big heart and lots of love.
find your specialists and stick with them 4-EVER, that's my advice to all of you forum brothers.
your car needs special TLC, unfortunately this is something a dealership won't have time to give you, it's not included in their service plan!

I agree I'm not going to the dealership for sure. I found the Tow Hook Switch for $20. and located the Alarm Module, Siren and Motion sensor too if I need them, but first I will replace the Tow Hook switch.
Thanks for the info!

yep, that's the correct siren, get the new one and replace it ASAP at you specialist shop!
the old siren has internal battery leaks, it will screw up the siren like cancer rot!
look at my pictures what I got for my alarm upgrade.
some of the pictures are borrowed from internet, Picture no.1 is mine with complete stuff in the box.
went to the dealership today and spoke with my friendly partsguy.
I asked him if central locking pump is the same for car fitted with ONLY tow alarm compared to cars with tow alarm/interior motion sensors.
guess what?
we share the same partsnumber for CL-pump, motion sensors are just plug n play on every car fitted with tow alarm.
time for an other options upgrade in the near future.
soon my car will be fully equipped with options from factory.
I will take some photos of my car in the near future
