97' c36 climbing the mileage ladder...swap time?

So my '97 c36 is nearing 275xxx and still drives like a bat out of hell, but it is prompting the thoughts of a motor swap. I visit this forum from time to time, but have never chimed in. My question is, what/if anything, is different in regards to a 5.4Ln/a swap starting with the '97 c36 as opposed to a c43. Thank you, and please pardon my naiveness on the subject.

Side comment, I recognize the limited number of c36's with the 722.6 transmission in the US, would it be foolish of me to mess with this car looking to the future?

Thanks for your input!

Drive it the way it is, these engines can take some respectable mileage. It probably will never be worth a lot. I suspect the value to not change much at all in the next few years. Maintain it right and enjoy. Maybe you could pic up a C43 and make it to a side project. In the meanwhile you can drive the C36. Or move on to something else. Options enough.
