This was talked about some time back, but can someone say which is the ideal solution and best fitting Star to replace the plastic piece of **** which crumbled away...

If any of those stars have the plastic "pins" that go inside the 3 holes. You can use a soldering gun to melt the top of these pins to the side and it will hold without using any glue. Just press the star flush to the cover and heat the tip pushing to the side. Takes about 40 seconds or less.

Yeah, I got the Star yesterday but had to part with CHF32.- 
which is about the same in $
OK I did get the three plastic pins to pinch up between the Star and under the cover included...

A quick follow-up on this job.
Using the Star # A 211 758 00 58, it just doesn't fit right
You can see the original star ridges on the engine cover.
Measurements
Engine cover:
External diameter 82mm
Internal diameter 71mm
Star:
External diameter 85mm
Internal diameter 76mm
Need something smaller....
