What was the crunching sound? Sounded like the suspension crashing.

I have a similar sound when hitting waves on the road with two people sitting in the back. This occurs with my 18" Monos and the KW Variant II suspension all round. With 17" no rubbing at all.

Your pump looks very similar to the Mocal I'm installing in my Ultima build which is connected to a 996/50 TT Porsche box.
Do you have an idea what's the running temp of the diff when you are driving the Ring or other hard driving instances. I've been told that the cooler is not necessary unless you are tracking a lot. The LSD also adds extra heat in the diff.
I assume you are using a high grade fully synthetic oil. That should also be changed regularly.

I believe "Clk430" comes with "2.87", with the same C43 housing, which is (185mm),
with 55 swap, prefer to go with "2.82", (210mm) housing from "W208 Clk55",
or if you have EGS52, you can go with "3.06", (210mm) housing from "W203 C32/C55 or W209 Clk55 or R171 Slk55",,
which is IMO; better ET's & better performance..

if I happen to blow my diff in the future???
would w208 clk55 - 2.82 diff fit with stock C43 ECU/TCU?.
only thing to do is to cut the plate inside trunk above pumpkin like Pagz did to make room for the new diff?

unfortunately; can't go with any differ Ratio if we still using EGS51, have to stick with "3.07"..!,
Paul(Pagz) swapped almost everything from donor "W208 Clk55", with big "W220" pumpkin & EGS52,
all "R170 & W208" sharing the same sub frame with "W202",,
Except "W208 Clk55", due to the "W220" big gear/pinion & pumpkin..
