C43/55 One Take-Matt Farah
As far as the engine performance info, the engine is from a 208 clk55 amg which did not have the 391lb/ft rating of the 210 e55. I could rattle on but you can research my project, specs of the engine and trans and before and after dyno graphs on this forum. I'll even include a few links to my threads to make it easier to follow what I have mentioned. Thanks and I appreciate the positive responses.
Edited to add links:

though that baby does not weigh 3400 lbs... I wish that were true
ive taken mine to the drag strip a few times and it weighed 3550 lbs on about a half tank of gas.also, I recently acquired a w208 CLK55 as well an I think the numbers on those cars are 342hp and 367lb/ft or something. and it weighs almost 100 lbs more than a C43. but still that engine must be a beast in the C43
great vid man, C43 love is always great, even if we don't always get the info 100% right :nix :
also wish we could have pointed out that its basically the SAME engine as the 43 but just more bore and stroke, but the block, intake, etc is all the same. so its not like its a physically bigger engine as most people think, but that's what I think is so cool about that swap.
also, nice ones are not $6000, haha, but I bet that made a bunch of people start seatching craigslist and autotrader! :-)

I sold my 98 with 213k miles for 3500 and the guy IMMEDIATELY put it back on clist for $19,000!!! He gave it a good wash and put some w211 E55 wheels on it and is trying to sell it for almost 5x what it's worth.
but I'm not mad. i hope someone comes along and pays him that! Matt Farah agrees that our cars are extremely undervalued right now and it's pretty sad. My friend is seriously considering a beat up, broken down, rustbucket 80's Toyota celica with a billion miles and mismatched body panels for $2500. I just sold a relatively clean 98 C43 with kinda-high miles (but prime candidate for a swap, rust free car!) for only $3500. it's so crazy.

did that scumbag seller manage to sell it to anyone?
when he bought your c43, did he haggle with you for cheaper price?
Just a thought, and don't get me wrong because I love power. But given the rarity of our cars. Does anyone feel leaving the stock 4.3 would help retain higher values? I think our cars are rock bottom values. But I don't see how they wont start creeping up in the coming years as they become more scarce.

But no changing the fact that my car and the original motor have 300k miles. So mine may never be valuable.
