Bulb malfunction light comes up but all bulbs work
Wierd...
My bulb light comes on the dashboard from time to time, yet I checked and all of the bulbs work, even rear foglight.
I don't understand why. pressing the brake pedal doesn't activate the light, but once I engage reverse or drive it comes up. I'd say about 50/50.
Anyone else had that?

does your malfunction bulb light come on when you hit a bump or on rough road? if so, it could be the rear tail light assembly. the way the rear tail light assembly is made is kinda hoaky and sometimes the prong doesn't touch the light bulb firmly enough so when you hit a rough road, the contacts are probably not making the contact to the bulb hence the bulb malfunction. what i did was open up the rear tail light assem and carefully bend out the prongs a bit just so that it will make a firmer contact to the bulb.
hope that helps ya

Although I don't appreciate having a malfunction akin to BMW's reputation when it comes to electronics, I too suffer from the bulb indicator light and its tempermental activities. I've learned to live with it. Who thinks we should push for a recall!!!

My bulb malfunction light is related to the front R/ fog light.
I never use the fogs but whenever the malfunction light comes on, I find that it's the fog light. Restarting the car often fixes it.
