what does this part do and I think mine is bad
So a quick search shows this is a air pump check valve.
Parn number: 002 140 36 60
I think this is where the loud sound is coming from from under my hood. It sounds like an air compressor being releases. Basically like a loud air leak.
Anyone have issue with this? I have a spare one but id like to know what these things do and why is it leaking and how a faulthy one effects the car.
I did have a check wngine light on the other day but before I got a chance to scan it I had replaced my car battery which cleared the light.

so guess that's one less thing to go wrong
