99 C43 fs in NY.
hi guys,
anyone in NY area see or know this car? i'm normally on the w210 board, luv my ride but the cleaning the black is killing me , so i'm looking , sort of..and as previous w202 owner, i always admired the c43 package. any input helpful.

Hi this car is only 28 miles from me. If you want me to travel over to see it and test drive it for you let me know. I'd be happy to do it. Call the seller, make arrangements and I'll go.

thanks for the offer, i appreciate it. but i found out that it's actually very close to a commuting point for me so i'll check it out. just thought someone else here may have seen it or known the car already..

saw the car today
ok, saw the car, wont do it for me. perhaps i've gotten too pampered by the smoothness of my e430.
that said, here's my take on it for others interested...
young guy mid 20's seemed very nice. he bought the car preowned a few years ago. wife, house , other priorites , etc..
car seems to have harmless MB service records as per vin check wth my dealer. just the 'cats' were changed, no other real warranty work.
body very straight and paint clean , but i would check on a possible repaint in the past on the lower front spoiler. i saw some overspray.
the car has been lowered with h/r set and rides harsh for my taste. wish he had stock springs on it when i drove it. might be improved ride with oem springs.
interior clean and not badly worn, no stories apparent there. all black interior with ortho seats and wood trim. a nice look.
engine had good growl of course, but i just found the throttle response hesitant and then real strong. might just be the nature of the beast.
i guess, if you know c43 is what you want , this is a good candidate. the price and mileage are fair, but def get a good quality ppi.
