Mechanical fan

Anybody running without the mechanical fan in the 43? If so have you experienced any issues in warm/hot temperatures? Do the electric fans blow sufficiently to cool off the water or are they mainly just used for the A/C?

My 2000 c280 has the electrical fan on the back of the radiator while the c43 has it on the front of the engine(mechanical)

Id say the c43 gets a little hotter during hot weather but I think that could be for another reason. I dont remember it getting that high before.

I honestly dont think either has an advantage. Electrical is probably less headache coz I assume it eliminates the fan clutch. I wonder if this setup can be transferred over to the c43??

Thanks for the comments. Perhaps the C43 doesn't have an electric fan in replacement of the mechanical one due to space issues. It is a bit tight in there... The M112 is one cylinder shorter

My black 98 had no mechanical fan, I removed it and was too lazy to put it back. It didn't have working AC, so I didn't get to truly torture test it, but otherwise it was fine for 3 years.

Did it have the two electric fans up front despite no A/C?

Honestly I think the updated electrical fan would take up less space. Ill compare when I get home
