The alternator wont be the cause of battery drain, if it goes flat after a couple days either the battery is stuffed or something else is pulling it down.

No. Bearings surely fail, but wont affect the alternator's output.

First step there is check the battery, dont leave that too long or you will be rebuilding the alternator too.

if i left the headlights on with my old battery, it would be dead in about 10-15. i went to the movies the other night, forgot to turn off my lights. so a good 90 or 120 minutes later i came out and she started right up
