Inspecting before purchasing question
i asked about the OBD thing because if that was an option, that could help me find things you cannot find by just looking...
Im pretty sure I can find the good and the bad by looking at a car just like you guys can, but if there is any tools that helps, great... if not, no problem... I may choose the best bet and to that car I'll do a PPI if that is possible in Spain (I still do not know that)
My original question was very simple actually... can I inspect for code errors in this cars or not? Believe it or not, thanks to Kowalsky, and the other member that suggested me to get the app, the conector and that stuff (sorry man, I don't know your name yet!!) I have a pretty good picture of what's possible and what's not in the first personal inspection situation...
I just hope you guys don't get annoyed by me asking so many questions!!! This debates helps me getting to know the car and make the best purchase I can... also I think it can help others who read this things here and there...
To make it even mow clear, if you guys tell me to take a flat screw driver to inspect bla bla bla, amazing!!! I didn't know that!
Somehow the thread went to somewhere where it seems I'm trying to cut steps to save 200 bucks... that is not the case
you will ask your new BestFriend4-EVER to take you to the best dealers selling MB cars for you to check them out.
you will also look for best place where people sell their cars on internet in Spain.
look for cars find the best possible specimen, then do a full controla for error codes and rust/body problems and electrical issues
for complete check up it is muy importante to use a skilled mechanic friend or a MB specialist to inspect the car you want to buy.
it's well worth the money to pay for an inspection
good luck

you are also getting more and more into Spanish eh?! Muy bien!!!
Anyways... even with a BFF who also knows how mercedes are, I still want to know as much as possible and I'm on it!

Here in Uruguay I'm the official detailer for MB and I happen to have a couple of "friends" who knows pretty much about this older ladies so, more info from them too....
Nobody seems to be confident about the C36 engines... are they too difficult in terms of parts for a full service?!
ask your buds at dealership for info, they can print out service work schemes for 36/c43
this will give u tons of info when to do special service at certain mileage
tell your buds to print you copies for all data about these cars and you will know many things

I also asked them for C43 (specially because it might be useful for some of you... in not finding any C43 available in Spain right now) and for the W210 E55... that is my back up option right now...
